Hello all! I cannot seem to express how thankful I am that 2021 is here. The stars are aligning and things truly feel different. Maybe it’s the rose colored glasses that makes a new year ACTUALLY feel like it’s a new me, but I’m here for it. Finally 2021 is here.
This past year has definitely changed us all and I am sure it has tested us all in some way. Although in 2020 there was a lot of sorrow and misfortune, there was also growth and resilience. If no one has told you this yet: I am proud of you. Even if you feel that all you accomplished this year was surviving the year, I am proud of you.
I felt that this year has changed me for the better. Cue Survivor by Destiny’s Child. But in all seriousness, I feel a change within myself and in the world. Keep pushing forward and stay positive this year. I’m manifesting love and happiness for the world this year.
Now, moving on from the dreaded topic of 2020. Let’s discuss 2021, this incredible sparkly outfit, my gorgeous makeup and some manifestations I have for the new year!
2021 is such a breath of fresh air. We, of course, have a long way to go when it comes to healing from this pandemic, but I know we can do it!
Second, this dress. This dress I bought a while back because I felt that I needed something fancy and sparkly in my closet. Well, I never got to wear it out because of quarantine but it definitely came in handy when I needed an outfit for New Years Eve! I actually got it from Forever 21 when they came out with their Party collection.
With this gorgeous dress I figured a smoky eye would be the perfect way to go. I really wanted something bold to go into the new year. A smoky eye is that boldness I was looking for. It really took this outfit to the next level as well. The palette I used was the Tarte Tarteist Pro Remix Amazonian Clay Palette. I first covered my lid with Mixed Media and then used the shade Wall Art as a transition shade. I personally like to use brown tones while using black shadows to do a smokey eye. After I was done blending I used Ink, the black shade and I made the shadow almost look similar to a cat eye shape– I also had blended some black under my waterline in the outer corners. After heavily blending I used a mix of Splatter and Create to add some shimmer to the middle of the lid. I topped it all off with a nude lip and lashes!
As for my manifestations for 2021 here are some that I worked on at meditation earlier in the day on New Years Eve:
- Get Organized
- Be More Consistent
- Spend More Time Outdoors: Hiking, Skiing etc.
- Become even more serious in my spirituality
- Finish my Reiki certifications
- Make more meaningful connections with the people that truly love me
- Have only true genuine friendships
I hope you all had an incredible New Years Eve and New Years Day and I wish you all the best for the year to come.
– Stay Chic,
